Off Page SEO | On Page SEO
Off Page SEO
Definition :- Optimization "Off Page" is the management of incoming links or inbound links. These links are usually outside the direct control of the webmaster, becomes a kind of optimization more difficult to do.
History:
With the growth in the number of sites dealing with similar topics, off-page elements are becoming increasingly important for the ranking. The contents are still important, but it ranks pages based on parameters increasingly dependent on external factors, linked to other sites that link them.
Off-page factors:
The off-page factors are those where you do not have direct control over the change of the contents of your site. The most important is the number and quality of inbound links from other sites. It's almost like a race of fame or popularity: most sites talking about your higher your ranking becomes. If no one talks about you in internet, you can have the best site, no one will visit you and no one will buy anything from your online store. You can then easily terminate the plan and cancel the hosting site. Do not change anything that your site is on a CD ROM hidden in a drawer, or both on-line but no visit has the same effect.
Obviously, the goal is not to clear the site, but to do all those activities that will improve its position and its visibility.
It 'obvious that the text contained in the pages of a website is a major factor for the purposes of discovery in search engines. But in what position? If you just started the site, the only alternative is to buy advertising. Why a new site, which obviously has no inbound links, Page Rank does not even have value, so it is retrievable through search engines. The exception is the case when you have a site about a topic that nobody else is. But if you work in a niche that nobody else is, and then probably no one is looking, therefore, we are headed. After starting the site, so your effort should be to increase its popularity. The sections of marketing solutions including on how to increase the visibility of the site, in this article, suffice to say that a site with no inbound links has no value. He then began working to get links, but pay attention to some basic rules:
- The number of links pointing to your site: the more you have, the better, but must arrive constantly, every natural
- The anchor text: optimal if it contains a keyword, but too many links with the same anchor text may penalize
- The PR of the referring page, if the referrer page is not indexed, the link will not get you much
- The theme of the page of origin: it has a little link to a site that focuses on cooking your music site
- The number of outbound links on that page
Techniques to avoid:
With all the difficulties involving the activities increase in inbound links, you need to know that some of these may be irrelevant, worthless, or even harmful for your rankings. So there are some off-page optimization techniques to avoid.
- Avoid using the directories not owned by an editorial staff, or circuits of exchange links of dubious value. Even if it's free, there is little point, because search engines often remove any link that comes in bulk from these sites.
- Avoid using your various links in guest books, blogs, pages and prevents feedback in other kind of spam with your URL. This not only triggers the alarm in the engines, but also disturbs the site owners.

Effective Link Building Tips | Link Building Techniques
Get more links to pages on your site is a longstanding problem and this time the I am trying to give you some useful information (except to create good content)?
Here are tips:
Here are tips:
Be controversial, controversial. A technical note link baiting is to insult someone. There are people who are professionals hating everyone, but it's not something I recommend you do: always be too over the top does not pay, there are many methods of "soft" to attract attention - such as humor or originality - so do not bet much on the controversy.
Participate actively in a community. A good way is to help other visitors to a blog or a forum, responding to their questions: they will remember you, and certain links on your site, you will have the opportunity to identify yourself as an expert on a particular theme.
Create Review. Create unique articles, original, quality, where multiple products or services are compared.
Newsletter. Create an email list of readers of your blog, which regularly send the content you produce.
Social media. Participate in blogs and forums are not enough, you must be present on Twitter, Friend Feed, and Facebook. Think of the social where people spend their time, and frequently. Also make a presentation at a conference is a great way to get links, because the people who participate may do a live blogging the event link on their site, etc.
Create lists. Create articles like "50 ways to get links", which lend themselves to be quite "digg" link and take: Do not abuse it, however, rarely write them, because such articles tend to tire the readers.
Launches a blog ... And become an authority in your field. There are no more excuses for not having a blog. There are many free services; there is nothing difficult to do. You can get link posting strange things / funny, but you can also use the blog to assert yourself. The blog is your business card, your profile. You can use it to show what they want to be on the Internet, and therefore it is important that it is a source of great content.
How-to and tutorial. I recently had the need to change the default printer on this in my browser on Linux, and when I did I said to myself "OK, now I'm writing all the steps, so I remember them for next time." And why not put everything online a little guide?
Launches a service / a Free Application. A very useful service or product released for free for a community can lead link, as an extension of Firefox or Chrome, or a plugin for Word Press. This kind of service is better because people will start visiting your site, download the application and certainly some of these links to you.
Give your site a good structure. Many people do not ask questions like "My site is a test crawler? I can bookmark my URL? Google can see all the pages of my site? ", And you have no idea how many sites had problems of various kinds: make it possible that the specific content of your site is easily linkable.
Video. I conclude with a suggestion: produce more video. Making video is really the easiest way to make sure that people talk about you. Videos can be viewed on various platforms, can be fun and also bring a lot of value.
If you know or use some other technique, also post it in the comments

Google - SEO Optimization Tips
A term widely used on the Web, Search Engine Optimization / SEO (search engine optimization). As the term implies, you optimize the website to look at designated points during construction for search engines, which in turn can affect your position in search results. Especially if you have a website aimed at Dutch visitors only is Google the only search engine more or less relevant to pay attention and respond to optimize your website. Why this is important is that especially companies obviously want to score higher in organic search results than competitors. Some additional tips below.
Organic search / Universal search
There are often various terms listed on search engine optimization, below briefly explains some of these terms. If the first is often spoken of organic search results. With organic search results will be the place referred to in the regular search results. This is a place that is not available and you thus optimize the highest possible score. The paid results can be found in Google among others at the top of search results often with a yellow background and are on the right side of search results. These are ads that which has been paid.
Then there's Universal Search / Blended Search. With Universal Search in the search results you see a mix of images, videos, news results, etc. Especially money than for images and videos that it is important to optimize this because it is also increasingly appear in the search results.
Use correct HTML
Then the additional tips with first the HTML code itself is where it all begins. Besides optimizing the content for Google, you can also do various things in the HTML code. If a search engine indexes your site it only sees the text and the source code of your website and so it starts the building and accessibility of the website. It is therefore important that you correct site code. That is, correct HTML that conforms to the W3C standards. The W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) is an international organization with Web standards (HTML, XHTML, XML and CSS) and defines rules for the Internet. In a tutorial on the W3C find more information about reading. This is an opinion; it does not increase your ranking.
For search engines, automatically imply that the use of Frames is excluded and that is important in the construction of the website a separation between the structure in the document itself and the format specified by the CSS externally. Now to find out if your website code meets the guidelines of the W3C has created a validator. Here you enter the Internet address of your website, and then checks if everything is correct and how many errors it contains so you do to a minimum.
It is also within the source code so that it is important that the content is as high as possible and the first indexed. You might start menu and other things on the right side of your website and then embed the CSS to move left. In the source code will be content in that case are higher than when you directly from the menu on the left post. Another tip is for Google to make sure that your main menu and submenu is constructed with a UL / LI and using divs for the base of your website.
Google looks at how your website is very easy to see with a text browser. It is even possible to view this online based on the text browser Lynx. The link below details.
H1, H2, H3 etc.
But perhaps one of the most important parts of the website is the H1 tags. H1 tags are meant for headlines at the top of a page that you post. Here you turn the key terms for the page. Subheads put you in H2, H3 etc. headings can use up to 6 H6 which is less an issue as the H1. It is also possible to make all your text within H1 tags to place and shape it so it does not seem so. However, this is obviously not an entirely logical structure of a website but will not help towards Google. This will be considered spam and the worst that can happen is a removal from the Google index.
At any rate, placing white keywords on a white background making them unreadable for one user, but have to be indexed by Google. This is obviously viewed as spam and may result in removal from the index in the past cause what ever happened to the German website of BMW.
Description and keywords
Besides the correct code and H1 headings, there are the title and meta tags . The meta description tag is the key. For the description tag money again you do not need to save these and a good description is important. Keep a description of up to 150 / 160 characters and make them unique for each page. Google will display the search results description as a snippet directly below the title so that visitors can read a summary page in which the issue. The description tag does not affect the ranking.
The Keywords Meta tag is a little less important because a lot of abuse made in the past by many nonsensical words to place in order to score higher. In particular, the number of keywords is often a stumbling block for search engines. Google does therefore not use this tag. The awarding of other search engines make sure that you’re up 5 to 7 words per page, more generally will not be indexed.
Other Meta tags such as language, author or copyright you can omit.
Title Tag
Perhaps the most important part of your page is the page title. This title is reflected in the title bar of the browser, but more importantly, the title is visible in the Google search results. Enter a title this good description of the contents of the page and make it not too short nor too long. Keep up the title at 65 to 70 characters and places far to the front keyword in the title. To prevent this, however, placing a number of keywords in a row, because there may be less likely to visitors click on.
You can decide this in the default site title or company name to include. If it contains an important keyword is highly recommended, you have a website name with no occupants, the keyword search terms are not relevant to including them in the title tag because no one in this case subsequent searches. But you have the company name, etc. in the title tag record in order to surf. Simply place it behind the website name in the title in order to place more keywords. Of course, this also at the beginning, but if you have a long website name to the detriment of the rest of the title.
The title is reflected in Google's search results and is truncated with'...' if it is too long. Also the title of a page in the browser title bar and tabs.
Companies
As long as you do not do crazy things is always good optimization. For companies that have money they have to be careful with which company they take the plunge for the optimization. The advantage of a good search engine optimization company has any additional search engine marketing with Google Ad words for example. Note that a # 1 position or a spot on the first page of search results never bought or guaranteed. There are no companies that have a special relationship with Google or a website to give priority. More information from Google themselves on SEO companies on the link below.
Videos and images
If you use a lot of videos, chances are that they are found in the search engine. With Universal Search, these also reflected in the regular search results. Therefore it is important here to choose a good thumbnail of the video shown in the results but make sure that a particularly good description of the video is like a number of important keywords. It is of course dependent on where a person or the person looking at a video result clicks. Also use a Video Sitemap.
Outside everything costs a lot of search engine optimization real time and this is an ongoing process. Among the tutorials about Google optimization including pictures and PDF files but also a tutorial on duplicate content, sitemaps, and the webmaster guidelines. These can be found in the overview here: Google tutorials.
A few final tips:
Set a preferred domain, with or without www.
Do not use too much java script and place the code in external files
Note the speed of your website
Place relevant keywords in internal links
Use appropriate titles to the left
Do not insert hidden text / links
Use social media
Ensure a proper 404 page with a 404 status
Try to place relevant keywords in links to your site

10 SEO tips that every web designer should know
10 tips to propose this, in my view, basic to streamline the design work.
1. Use CSS
Often encounter on different network sites, signed 2009, created entirely in pure HTML without the use of style sheets, and then crippled an important support that brings many benefits:
- More compatible with other Web Browser.
- Excellent separation between content and graphic design.
- Possibility to make layout more complex than those possible with tables.
- Reduced weight of the pages with a consequent decrease loading times.
- Ability to change the look of the site, even significantly, by changing only one file.
- Improving the accessibility and visibility to alternative media: PDAs, cell phones, screen readers, text browsers, and printers.
- The css is located at the top of the source code, ensuring better indexing of your pages.
Only drawback is that some older browsers do not interpret them correctly.
For this W3Schools has sought to give a statistical definitive the most widely used browsers in the world accompanied by relevant statistics monthly.
To check if our layout is visible on all web browsers, we can use free services that create previews of our site.
2. Optimize code
In addition to optimizing the structure of a web page, also the CSS code can be improved by avoiding unnecessary duplication or redundancy.
The classic example is the settings of the margins or padding:

You can also write a document in css on one line, but then it would be unreadable for both yourself and others.
Remember to write a good format to your source! There are several free tools on the web that can help.
Council to try StyleNeat that could become a valuable tool for your formatting.
3. Avoid Frame
On the net there is enough noise around this topic and I do not want to make more.
For this reason I carry a part of the standard adopted by the National Centre for Information Technology in Public Administration in which it is said that:
It is not permitted to use the frame in the creation of new sites.
In the first application to existing Web sites already made frame is allowed to use HTML 4.01 or XHTML 1.0 with DTD frameset, but with the following warnings:
- avoid using, within the markup language in which the page is made, elements and attributes to define the presentation features of the page (for example, characteristics of the font, text color and background, etc.. ), instead of using style sheets, CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) to achieve the same visual effect
- to ensure that every frame has a meaningful title to facilitate identification and navigation, if necessary, also describe the purpose of the frames and their relationship
4. Do not use nested tables
Nested tables are tables inside other tables.
It is very discouraged their use because the spiders find it difficult to read the contents of each cell with a resulting loss of indexing some content.
Use the div with CSS is a very good solution and can not only optimize the code, but also to obtain a good level of content indexing.
5. Do not overuse Keyword
The key words describing the content of a page.
It is therefore important to make them appear in strategic places, such as: url, title and description.
It is often useful in the body of content, but without straining! You may incur penalties for too many keywords.
6. Determine the best Keyword
Without abuse we have to analyze the best keywords, so you get good placement in SERP.
We are meeting various web services, identifying those key words related to our environment, good to use to have little competition.
I suggest you read my article Less is better, Where I explain a great free tool to analyze our keyword.
7. Avoid the use of Flash menus
In addition to having loading times longer than normal to HTML, Flash is strongly recommended for the creation of navigation menus because the search engines have difficulty reading and following the links used for navigation.
A site created entirely in Flash has some major disadvantages for indexing on Google and search engines general.
You can try to divide the site into small pieces to insert flash in a normal html page, so you can optimize keywords, title and tags.
8. Use unique titles for each page
Each page of the site should have the title attribute, unique for each page, so if you use the same title, the search engines think that every page is the same argument.
9. Work on your image
Do not neglect the weight of the images that you put in as lightening the load times are cut in half the page!
In fact, you have several tools, free, to achieve this goal.
One of them is Image Optimizer a great free tool that allows you to greatly alleviate the weight of your images.
Do not neglect to build the ALT, an essential element of
you need to enter information on the images of web pages in case of their absence.
The TITLE attribute, however, is to provide some additional information to the image and follows the same rules that should be used for the title of a web page.
Be brief, summarize the content of the post and can capture their attention.
Be brief, summarize the content of the post and can capture their attention.
Alt is preferable to the Title tag which is why search engines often make reference to identify the contents of an image and then using the right keywords will have a better indexing in the SERP.
Here I report a video made by Matt Cutts on the importance of the alt attribute in images:
10. Beware URL
As we all know, the structure of our url is essential for a good search engine indexing in terms of keywords in it. We also know that blogging platforms like Word Press, allow a rewrite of the url of our posts, which facilitates our search engine optimization.
Here is a brief list of tips for optimizing the structure of the url of the post on our site:
- Describe the contents - The basic structure of the first url should contain a description of the contents of the page.
- Be brief
- URLs are case-sensitive
- Use hyphens high (-) to separate words
- Do not spam
- Used static rather than dynamic URL
Tips to optimize and position your website in search engines
35 Tips to optimize and position your website in search engines
This week we visited the sites within the top SEO (Search Engine Optimization - Optimization for search engines) and we have collected well 35 tips and tricks you can easily apply to your website to search just to optimize it for search engines and then give him an extra push, hoping to appear in top positions of search results. Let's see them together:
- Backlinks from sites with high page rank have high value. A high page rank site indicates a highly reliable and credible, so the back links from the same "worth many points."
- If you must use JavaScript for your drop-down, image maps and ajax features, be sure to enter the equivalent text links within the pages. In this way the search engines will also be able to "read" and index your site.
- Make sure the links to your site always on the dot same type of address: That http://miodominio.it or http://www.miodominio.it and uses the same. You can also ask your webmaster to enable the redirect (code 301) to the type of URL you choose.
- The links from the domains. Edu and . Gov are considered important by search engines. Search for sites with such properties that may be interested (even paid) to add a link to your site
- The fastest way to be included in the index Google (To be indexed) is to have a back link from an authoritative (and therefore already indexed with good results). If you can not do that remains is report the site to Google in the classical way.
- Ask blogger most influential and followed if they are willing to link to your site, image, video ...
- No matter the extent of your files. USA. Html,. Htm,. Php,. Asp, etc..
- Always use the Titles and Alt (Alternate content) for images inserting text that contains the keywords or phrases
- Use meaningful file names and hyphens to separate words. We often underestimate the traffic that can come from image search. Eg castles-of-sabbia.jpg is better than or castellidi_sabbia.jpg HPMI00254.JPG
- The page rank is not everything. A site with low page rank may appear higher than a page to rank higher if its content was considered more interesting
- If you decide to Purchase a link in a page viewed, above his reputation. A good trick is to look to understand the version contained in the google cache. More recent is the cached version is better, Google has increased recently. If the date is older than a month better move on.
- Date content and new help to improve your position and reputation in the eyes of search engines. If you plan to write a long article, then drop out for a week ... well, better to divide it into three short articles and publish them after some time (2-3 days). If your site is mainly static, consider having a open an internal blog to the site itself.
- Do you plan to achieve your new website? Think of search engines to bury the first in an acrobatic flash site. Search engines know how to "read" the text No pictures and flash movies. In this regard we have also written a feature article: The disadvantages of a flash site
- The best thing is that search engines (crawler in particular) are, and to index the pages in a natural way. In this case a good site navigation it is more efficient for a site map (XML sitemap)
- Make sure internal and external links use the words or phrases for which you want to find. If you're trying to optimize the key "Straw Hat", then your link will be on that line and not on the "Click Here"
- Make sure you have a single word or phrase on which to focus on every page. The title field (TITLE) of the page should always be different and in agreement with the chosen keyword. If you must enter the name of your business, do it at the end.
- Do not try to optimize a page for several keywords at a time.
- Search engines love unique content and quality. Make sure you have both these features.
- The modern search engines "are intelligent and understand" natural language. E 'therefore unnecessary to write pages full of nonsensical keywords. Search engines count the frequency of words and if you are in is too high risk of penalties
- Use the words "images /"Or"photos"In the alternative content (ALT) of your images. Often users associate them with their research For example: "photo dogs", "image white horse"
- We have also recently entered this blog (and we encourage you to use them!). Add to your pages viral tools: Buttons sharing, comments from visitors, approval ratings, etc. that could give rise to the so-called "virtual mouth" or in more technical thermal "viral marketing“
- Use an RSS feed and report it to sites that aggregate content from the RSS feed.
- When trying to increase the number of inbound links to your site (Link Building) thinks quality, not quantity. A link from a site with high reputation can be worth more than a dozen poor quality links
- Do not be selfish. Linked other sites and blogs ... encourage their webmaster / owners to link to you.
- Make sure that your link-containing keyword are surrounded by descriptive text relevant to them. The same goes for pictures and video. Remember that search engines can read only the text!
- It 's easier to optimize phrases (long tail keywords) Than single keywords. It will be easier to get results for "Pizza in Venice" and for "Pizzeria".
- Always write to the place where your business resides not only on the "Location". In this way you will advantage in location-based search.
- When you optimize your blog's readers ... optimize the page title (TITLE) independently from the post title.
- Optimize and position a site is not a process that ends in a few hours or days. Think of it as daily activity.
- If you have a presentation, or other promotional material video... Add it to YouTube, Vimeo, Google Video, etc.. These will also appear in search results, so why miss an opportunity?
- If you still have a site made with frames ... no wait a minute longer, change it! The frames in fact do not allow direct links to pages that are indexed, and you risk the menu on your site.
- Understanding the evolution of the web is part of the job. To date, Social Network (Digg, del.icio.us, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) are increasingly present and influent in search results. Learn how to use them to your advantage.
- Write something that you can speak and inspire debates... The link to get themselves.
- If you must have an intro page (splash screen) or in a single image in Flash, make sure there are text navigation links to enter the site. You know that button "Skip IntroIs the second most popular web after the "Back" button of your browser?
- If your site is hosted on a shared server with other sites, make sure that it does not appear in black-list. This could damage your reputation.
At least, it ... the last and crucial point, in four words that summed up the foregoing and represents, in our view, "the secret" to a successful site. We want to write big:
